The Ducane 2005 has 37,500 BTU¿s (25,000 main, 12,500 rotis) and 445 square inches of cooking surface (310 primary, 135 secondary). Features include a 2-position stainless cooking shelf, 2 side shelves with removable polyethylene cutting boards with juice moats, 2 towel bars/utensil racks, and permanent Ducane briquettes. The 2005 features Ducane¿s patented rear-burning Open Flame Rotissing® System which revaporizes juices, and also a built-in burner, motor, spit rod, meat hooks and Smoke-It-Tray® for wet mesquite or hickory wood chips. TOP-PORTED® 18-gauge 304 grade stainless steel burners are efficient and long lasting. SEAR GRIDS® are made of high-quality 18-gauge 304 grade stainless steel which sears meat quicker and more evenly to hold in more juicy flavor. Ducane¿s 20-gauge 304 stainless steel double-tiered LA-VA-GRATE® system features overlapping runners to hold and revaporize drippings, which means more flavorful food. With dedicated ignition, Ducane provides an ignitor for every burner, and does not rely on unsafe crossover ignition. And with the VIS-U-GLO® observation ports, you can always tell if the grill is lit, even the brightest daylight. The 2005 has two heat resistant side-mounted hood handles to keep your arms out of the heat, and comes equipped with child-safe removable burner control knobs. Bases sold separately.
