Summary: Attention Homebrewers 2008-07-05
Comment: I bought this pot for homebrewing. It is certainly adequate for that purpose, but there are some things I wish I had known ahead of time. First, the bottom of this pot is "raised" (not flat), making it unsuitable for use on an electric stove. Second, the pot is much taller than it is wide, which helps with boil-overs, but makes it a bit awkward to handle, especially for things like lifting into an ice-filled sink, or pouring the wort into the fermenter.
It gets the job done, but now that I've used it a few times, I don't think I'd recommend it as a brewpot.
(Also, the lid is not as-pictured. It's cheaper than the one shown here.)

Summary: Perfect for frying! 2008-02-08
Comment: I love this pot since it's stainless steel. Most of the turkey frier kits comes with an aluminum pot - the aluminum will bleed into the oil!
Very sturdy pot and our Thanksgiving turkeys come out perfect and juicy!
