Not worth the money - constantly breaks,

This review is from: Lynx Professional 36 Inches Propane Grill L36PSR-1-LP Stainless Steel
Bought this grill from a retailer. You would expect for the money a top notch product with support to match. My $500 Weber grilled performed better. The lynx grill constantly broke down in the first year. First the heavy stainless grill warped and broke - yes the welds snapped apart. Second, the ignitors for each of the burners broke down. Some of the ignitors wore out twice in one year. I use the grill about twice a week, but they shouldn't break down. Even when they worked, the grill was difficult to lite. Finally, over the winter, the entire electrical system broke down. Lynx initially was great and sent a repair person to replace, but after a while, stopped returning phone calls notwithstanding the lifetime warranty with original owner (I only owned for one year). I would not recommend this purchase

Do Not Buy This Grill - You will be sorry,

Our family purchased this grill based on great looks, solid build quality and reviews we saw on Grilling Websites. Those reviews must have been professionally written by the company. As with the other actual reviews by real purchases on Amazon and epinions, this grill will be a complete waste of our money. While the actually build quality is great and once you can get it lit, it cooks very well, the problem with the ignition system is sooooo bad, that it is unusable with serious danger to the person lighting it.
We have gone back and forth with the company for 3 years now and cannot get the problem corrected. They tried to fix the problem by replacing the ignitor within the 1year warranty period. We tried that, and when it did not work, the company said now that it was over the 1 year period, we would have to pay for all repairs ourselves. Seems a little strange since they did not fix the problem correctly the first time. Now, after spending hundreds of dollars and...Read more

First review I have ever written. Bought this unit and am very very disapointed. Unit has caught on fire 3 times (electrical). First time Lynx sent me the replacment parts free saying there was an electrical defect in this model
36" Pro Sear Natural gas grill. 2nd and 3rd times it caught on fire I had to purchase the parts from LYNX. Over $200 for each fire. All electrical problems. I have spent much time on the phone with Lynx and I have been told its from the wind to, not supposed to leave the top closed for more than 25 minutes at a time while cooking, to the type of steak I am cooking. I dont use the unit any more. First I can't afford to spend over $200 each time it catches on fire, and second I dont want to burn my fence or house down. I purchased a smoker and a propane (not a fan of propane) grill which is set up next to my $4,000 Lynx. I bought this unit because of the good reviews the unit and their customer service got. What a mistake. First off over $4,000 for a BBQ is...Read more
