Weber 3841001 Genesis E-310 Natural Gas Grill, Black

Comment: The grill was not very easy to assemble. Two parts (the cover and the side table) were scratched and/or dented. I emailed Amazon and they responded right away indicating I needed to contact the manufacturer. When I contacted them by email they responded right away and we had the two new parts within a few days. We haven't used the grill yet but I'm sure we will love it. We've had Weber propane gas grills in the past and really liked them.

Comment: We wanted to get this item from here but kept shopping around and found a great deal at a local store ($495). It had all the parts except the support for the two sides were plastic and the grill was not Stainless Steel. So, I will buy that later when the enameled grill gives out.

Comment: our old Weber Genesis was looking pretty tired. It still cooked fine even with a few pieces not working quite as well. This was a grill that got heavy, heavy use. Southern California living with a natural gas hook up and one never has to cook indoors.

As an anniversary present we were given this new Weber Genesis. It is definitely new and improved: enclosed cabinet which is great storage for my outdoor mesh cooking pans and racks; heavier duty grates, gages and overall design. The iginition/electronic lighter is a pretty flimsy design...but as this was the first to break and break again on my old grill I was hoping it would have been improved. The new grill gets much hotter and holds the heat at a constant temperature better.

Delivery was prompt: even faster than expected. Set up was a two person job. My husband is handy with tools and reading instructions. All the parts were there. The gas hose was defective but was replaced immediately by Weber.

So all in all I expect this grill to last at least 20 years. I will let you know later.

Comment: We got the Weber Genesis E-310 as a 75th birthday gift for my dad. I had it delivered to my home. It arrived in a very large box on a wooden pallet. It was packed very well, and the grill/parts unpacked without a hitch. The instructions were easy to follow. And it took approximately an hour and half to assemble. The only tools needed was a phillips screw driver and 7/16" socket wrench (although a flat wrench is included). The quality of parts is very high, and this grill should easily last a good ten years in my opinion. It is a beautiful grill, and everyone at the birthday party commented on how nice it looks, and that "someday I want a grill like that." My Dad was very surprised and pleased with his new toy. Someday I want a grill like this!

Comment: Weber make many grills in a wide variety of styles but if what you want is a basic grill that cooks quickly and evenly then the E310 is for you. We bought the natural gas version (plugs into a NG outlet on the side of our house) and it does a great job in grilling everything we have tried - seafood, brats, steak, pork loins, corn, chicken breasts....simply everything! The cast iron grates will benefit from some seasoning (not the shake on kind but heating with a high fat food like brats) and they evenly distribute the heat. All round it's a well built grill that does an impressive job. Thanks Weber.
