We moved the control knobs from the side table to the front panel for full-on heat control and gave you two extra large stainless steel tables for all of your grilling needs. And we did it without compromising an ounce of the cooking performance that makes Genesis a legend. The Genesis E-330 natural gas grill takes your steaks to the next level with a high-powered Sear Station burner to provide you with the perfect grill marks without losing an inch of space. It maximizes the heat without minimizing grilling space. This high powered sear burner is designed to step up the heat on demand for searing. The flush mounted side burner lets you multi-task while grilling. Each Genesis E-330 natural gas grill comes equipped with an electronic ignition system providing you with quick and reliable ignition. The natural gas grill includes a 10-foot flexible hose. Stainless Steel cooking grates retain heat evenly and sear foods beautifully. The black porcelain–enameled shroud has a built in center mounted thermometer and the steel doors and aluminum end caps are also black.

Other than the pain suffered through paying full retail (ouch), it has been a great experience.
Assembly: Everything fit together as it should. Get an 11mm socket on a real wrench though - the 'tool' that comes with the set is great for adjusting the doors, but don't count on using it for primary assembly unless you have a few days to spare. Hint: Use the 3 silver headed screws for the drip tray - the black headed screws are for the side burner. NG vs Propane: If you're going to grill year around in a climate that can get cold and can get the hook up done - go NG. Seriously. I'm loving it. Pre-heat: 40* ambient to 600* in 9 minutes (NG version). I took it up to 650* (13 min) just to clear any remaining mfg oils on it. This is WAY hotter than any reasonable use would entail. We just moved into a house which has a natural gas line and I wanted to be able to use that. None of the hardware stores in our area sold NG grills, nor would they put them together. I was expecting a nightmare putting this thing together. That couldn't have been further from the truth. Just follow the step by step instructions and you'll be grilling your first steak in a couple of hours.
My only issue didn't relate to the grill, but the connection from my house. I had to visit a hardware store to get a 3/8" to 1/2" adapter for the gas connection. Once all that was taken care of, I fired it up full blast and it got up to 500 degrees in less than 10 minutes. I cooked my first steak on this grill tonight and the outcome was perfect. First let me say that anyone who owns there own home (and has natural gas service) should spring for the NG version. Some say that LP burns hotter than NG - I can't comment about that - but I can tell you that with the 4 burns wide open the unit reached almost 800 degrees in less than 15 minutes, air temp was at most 60. Plus you'll save a boatload of money and never run out of fuel again. Next, I strongly recommend you buy the E 330 not the ES 330. The E comes with porcelain coated cast iron grates whereas the ES grates are SS. SS may be resistant to rusting but they are inferior in their cooking qualities. SS takes forever to get hot, does not retain heat like cast iron. SS grates won't mark the meat like Cast Iron does...Read more |
